Rethinking the Personal Branding.

By virtue of proposition, a brand is to have distinction and have a positive reputation. The fact that anything can be a brand, including us humans, lead to the question, how to have a distinct proposition for a human’s brand?

The notion that a brand is always related to the concept of identity (mind identity, behavior identity, physical identity) is the foundation.

In the context of having cool hair and social media impression and reach is one of the aspects that personal branding is all about (physical identity). They are the channel to express the goodness of the self. And if focussing only on these aspects, the brand is considered premature (some may say it fake), topical, and not originally you.

The need to looking backward to where are these expression mindsets coming from is inevitable to make the brand have higher believability.

Personal branding begins with having higher self-awareness. What are the strengths (and also the weaknesses), what are the skills (hard skills, professional skills, life skills, etc.), what are the possess values, interest, passion, purpose, and goals in life? What is the dream?

These are the fundamental element that shapes the personal brand. Once these elements are clear, the next step is to manifest them into physical identity and share it with the world as you like.
